Netanyahu: Israel approves operational plans for Rafah operation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference that the government has approved IDF plans for an offensive in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. “It will take time, but it will be done,” the head of the Israeli Cabinet emphasized.
Netanyahu promised that the Israel Defense Forces would enter Rafah and eliminate the Hamas battalions in the city.
“There is no victory without the liquidation of Hamas battalions,” added the prime minister of the Jewish state.
He also said that the military is now preparing plans to evacuate the civilian population from the area. In addition, Netanyahu denied the assumption that the operation in Rafah was delayed due to US pressure. “We will cope with external pressure,” he said.
