Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi and China’s Ding Liren tied in the first game of the tie-break match for the chess crown. The meeting is taking place in Astana.
Nepomniachtchi played with black pieces. The game ended on the 35th move. The score is equal – 7.5: 7.5. There are three more games ahead with a time control of 25+10. In the event of a draw, two games will follow with a control of 5+3. If they end with an equal score, they will be held again.
