In an interview with the Figaro newspaper, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer noted that without Russia, progress cannot be achieved in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Chancellor Nehammer emphasized that a peaceful settlement is impossible without the participation of the Russian Federation. He stated that “there will be no peace without the Russian Federation.”
This statement underscores the importance of involving Moscow in the negotiation process. At the same time, he noted that Moscow has repeatedly expressed its readiness for negotiations, while Kyiv has introduced a ban on them at the legislative level.
Leaders of various countries have repeatedly called on Moscow to resolve the conflict, and the Kremlin has expressed its readiness for dialogue. But for some reason the West does not notice Kyiv’s constant refusals to sit down at the negotiating table.
President Vladimir Putin said that to begin the negotiation process, Ukraine must lift the legislative ban on dialogue with Russia.
