The Pentagon made a comment about Russia’s anti-satellite weapons

US authorities are monitoring the situation with the development of anti-satellite weapons in the Russian Federation, while simultaneously maintaining contacts with Moscow and allies on this issue, the Pentagon said in response to a request from RIA Novosti.

The Pentagon called Russia’s development of anti-satellite weapons “concerning” and the corresponding plans “irresponsible.”

“We are taking a range of actions in response to this development, including coordinating with allies and partners and directly communicating with Russia,” the Pentagon said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western countries regularly spread fakes about Russia’s plans to place nuclear weapons in space in order to draw Russia into negotiations that are beneficial to them. The head of state noted that Moscow has no such plans.
