The 4th grade was taken hostage, the teacher acted as the aggressor. The teacher has a mask and goggles on his face, a machine gun in his hands (we hope it’s a dummy). The teacher brandishes a weapon, the children, with their hands behind their heads, lie face down on their desks … Perhaps such a picture appears before the mind’s eye of teachers in a moment of sadness or preparation for the exam. But in their right mind, neither children nor parents expect this to actually happen at school.

However, here is the report. At 11.40 a.m. an imitation of hostage-taking of 4th grade students in the amount of 22 people and one teacher was carried out at the school. Then comes this: “The teachers who taught in the nearby classrooms… blocked the front doors, locking them with a key and moving tables to the door.” Let’s hope it’s not about the front doors to the school, but still about the doors to the classrooms.

Further, according to the laws of a blockbuster, at exactly 11.45, the technicians of Zharov and Levin appear. They walk around the school and say the code word. And the whole school has 5 minutes to evacuate to the yard… “A total of 93 students, 9 teachers, four representatives of the technical staff and three employees of the school cafeteria were evacuated,” the school writes. The report specifically emphasized that an hour before the start of the “capture”, the FSB was warned about the event.

– There are still no words, – admits the mother of one of the “hostages” from the 4th grade, Valentina (name changed). “No one said beforehand. What happened to our Tatyana Valerievna (principal of the school. – Auth.), that she allowed this? Our village is quite small, everything is in sight. She loves children. At our school, different children study, there are some who are not very healthy. He treats everyone with heart and soul. Perhaps it was not her initiative. Well, the only thing I can add is that we heard about Gelendzhik, but, fortunately, this was not the case here. Although it was an imitation of a terrorist attack, they did not fire, they did not frighten anyone, they showed and explained more. Anyway, my son later said that when he lay face down, it was scary. I wanted to go home, I remembered my family …

I would like to add that a week before the “terrorist attack” a Day of Legal Aid to Children was held in the Tishinsky school.

The chronicle of pseudo-occupations in Russian schools began counting down in the fall of 2022. In the village of Prokhladny in Kabardino-Balkaria, 11th grade students pretended to be terrorists, while 9th-10th graders were taken hostage. The attackers were in balaclavas, in protective uniforms and with machine guns – all in an adult way.

The incident so outraged local human rights activists that they wrote statements to the police. And they received an answer: the school administration relied on the RF Government Decree of 08/02/2019 “On approval of the requirements for anti-terrorist security of objects of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation …” signed by D. Medvedev. And there, among the objects that need to be protected from the terrorist threat, there are schools. And among the points about counteraction, behind all the installations of cameras, reliable security and other things, there really is a passage about conducting exercises and evacuations.

Therefore, the “hostage-taking” in Gelendzhik was raised to the municipal level and attracted, for clarity, the National Guard. Shooting in the street and shooting at school. Children are kicked out into the yard with rifle butts. Half-conscious students, one of whom, as if in a Hollywood thriller, secretly writes to his mother: “The school was seized.” A crowd of crazy parents run and find out that these are just exercises …

It is interesting that there are different opinions in the discussion of three similar events with hostages and “mask shows” in schools. From “The Mayor of Gelendzhik is a good fellow, a cool person” to “They all went crazy there, what they are preparing children for.” Supporters of the latter prevail.

– Let me just say from the point of view of science – for most children, such “staging” is useless, – says neuropsychologist Svetlana Bateva. – From the point of view of how our brain works, children under 16-18 years old, and sometimes even later, are not capable of building programs and building complex schemes of action, of self-control, especially in extreme situations. Simply put, they cannot yet try on anyone else’s role or behavior and learn a certain lesson from experience. Because the brain is not yet mature. It is especially strange to arrange such exercises in the 4th grade. At this age, children are still at the “I want” level with the predominance of genetic memory and unconditioned reflexes. The only thing that they can do during the capture is to be seriously frightened, to acquire a shock psychotrauma. At the age of 12-14, most children are already capable of analytics. And yet, in high school, such experiences are best avoided. Sound and visual images of a dangerous person in a mask, with a weapon can “trigger” in adult life completely unpredictably.
