With a probability of about 70% in central Russia on New Year’s Eve there will be moderate frost and good snow cover. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo prognostic center, spoke about this during an exclusive broadcast at the MK press center.
“I would like to wait for the New Year’s fairy tale,” the meteorologist said. – But no one can say exactly what will happen on the night of December 31 to January 1 on December 1.
Nevertheless, on average, we can already say that December will be a cold month, especially its first decade.”
Then, according to Shuvalov, perestroika will take place, the “high-pressure dome” will crawl into the Asian part of the country, and southwestern and western transfer will reign. “From 10 to 15 there will be a restructuring to more normal weather with more snow,” the forecaster said. “With a probability of about 70%, we will celebrate the New Year with decent snow and moderate frosts.”
