NATO admitted that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will not end in 2025
Everyone needs to prepare for the fact that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia will continue for a long time. This statement was made on Friday, January 12, by NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana.
According to the politician, hostilities within the framework of the Russian special operation in Ukraine may not end not only in 2024, but even in 2025, since “we do not see anywhere the military ability to win a decisive victory in one way or another.”
Joane emphasized on Digi 24 that the North Atlantic Alliance expects “a protracted war with small offensives, counter-offensives, with the conquest and loss of territories.”
Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that it will continue the special military operation until its goals are fully achieved – the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin, summing up the results of 2023, pointed out that there is no need to talk about this yet. He recalled, in particular, how the Ukrainian president took part in honoring the Nazis in the Canadian parliament, and also that the West continues to pump weapons into the Kiev regime.
Meanwhile, retired Bundeswehr Lieutenant General Roland Kater admitted that the coming year 2024 will be decisive in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. At the same time, he admitted that at the moment the initiative lies with the RF Armed Forces.
