NATO admiral says Ukraine’s demands for weapons are ‘enormous’

The head of NATO’s military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said that Ukraine’s requests for arms and ammunition exceed the alliance’s capabilities, and the volume of defense products supplied to Ukraine is beyond NATO’s production capabilities.
“The volumes of military equipment and ammunition that Ukraine is requesting are enormous… The scale and volume of products used are beyond the scope of our production capabilities,” he said at a press conference.
The head of NATO’s military committee also warned countries supplying arms and ammunition to Ukraine to carefully assess the risks associated with such supplies, both for the security of the alliance itself and for their own security. He called on NATO countries to quickly and more effectively resolve issues related to increasing production capacity in the defense sector.
