According to a NASA statement, the organization received a signal from the Voyager-2 probe, the connection with which was lost in July. According to information received on July 28, specialists assumed that it would be impossible to restore communication with the device until mid-October. However, NASA’s Deep Space Communications Network has tweeted that it has received a carrier signal from Voyager 2, indicating that the probe is in good condition.
The Voyager mission was launched in September 1977 and consists of two twin probes, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. These devices are the most distant from the Earth and the longest-lived spacecraft. Voyager-1, which is located at a distance of 24 billion kilometers from Earth, continues to operate normally.
