The launch of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon reusable spacecraft, scheduled for Monday, was canceled two minutes before launch, NASA said. The launch was scheduled for 01:45 US East Coast time (09:45 Moscow time). It was to be produced using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle from the Kennedy Space Center launch facility.
The reason for the cancellation was reportedly some kind of malfunction in the launch complex system. According to Elon Musk’s SpaceX, “fuel unloading has begun before the crew disembarks.” A new launch date has not yet been announced.
The international crew of Crew Dragon-6 includes American astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburgh, UAE astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
The expedition’s destination is the International Space Station.
