NASA and Roscosmos agreed to take additional precautions after Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub went into outer space. Roscosmos and NASA reported about a coolant leak from the backup radiator in the Science module of the Russian segment on October 9. Roscosmos clarified that the main thermal control circuit of the module is operating normally, and nothing threatens the station crew. NASA later announced that the leak had stopped.
