More than half of those who are afraid of doctors (53%) could not answer the question of what exactly makes them afraid. 16% said they were afraid of possible diagnoses, 10% said they were nervous about the price of treatment.
Of the medical procedures, Russians are most afraid of surgery (24%), dental (19%), gynecological and urological manipulations (17%), general anesthesia or anesthesia (16%), and gastroscopy (11%).
25% noted that confidence that the appointment would be quick and painless would help reduce stress. 21% believe that a good atmosphere and a friendly attitude of a doctor would help them. 15% indicated that they would calm down if the doctor explained and pronounce each step of the treatment.
