“There remains a thrombosis that cannot be removed. If the risk of thrombosis is still high, then in no case should you proceed to the installation of prostheses, ”the specialist shared the details, explaining that when a person moves, blood clots move around the body. This is dangerous because it is difficult to determine where they may be, the expert informed.
At the same time, the interlocutor of the publication called Kostomarov’s preparation for prosthetics “a good sign.” This indicates that the doctors have studied the injuries well and reduced them to a minimum, the doctor of medical sciences concluded.
Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized on the night of January 10 with pneumonia. In February, it was reported that the athlete developed sepsis, so doctors amputated part of the lower limb and several fingers on his hands.
