Bryansk governor demanded to remove electric scooter parking from monuments to soldiers-liberators

The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, instructed the leadership of the regional center to establish a ban on parking electric scooters in places of military burials, memorials and monuments.

Speaking about this assignment, Mr. Bogomaz in his Telegram channel remembered the important role of the region in history: “The Bryansk region is a heroic partisan region. Bryansk is a city of military glory. And this is known to every inhabitant of our region, both children and adults. Partizan Square, the Mound of Immortality are the symbols of our city, holy places for everyone who remembers the feat of our ancestors, the heroes who liberated the world from fascism at the cost of their lives.” The official says that local residents are proud of them, and guests of Bryansk visit memorials to bow their heads in memory of the heroes.”

Mr. Bogomaz considers the situation with memorials unacceptable: “Places of military glory have turned into “garages”, parking lots for electric scooters.” He noted that places for the use of electric scooters should be installed in Bryansk, as in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Sochi, and Penza. It is forbidden to park there in places of military graves, memorials, monuments, as well as on lawns, narrow sidewalks and footpaths. Alexander Bogomaz instructed the leadership of Bryansk to develop similar measures in the near future.

Recall that the rules of the road appeared a new concept – means of individual mobility. This concept includes electric scooters recognized as vehicles, electric skateboards, gyroscopes, segways, unicycles and similar devices. For their use, there are various restrictions in the form of the maximum permissible speed and a ban on driving on motorways, as well as fines for violations.
