Named the main “engine” of the persecution of the UOC: traces lead to Rome

The persecution of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and the attempt to expel the monks from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra threaten the country with a civil war. This was warned by a former adviser to the two presidents of Ukraine, Kuchma and Kravchuk, Oleg Soskin. “The authorities are fools who do not understand what a revolutionary situation is, an inter-religious war. They don’t know what St. Bartholomew’s night is,” he said. The Ministry of Culture, we recall, gave the monks of the Lavra until March 29 to “vacate the premises.”

The monks still refuse to leave the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, and hundreds of believers came to support them. How can this confrontation end? Will it lead to clashes, will it end in a religious civil war? We talked about this with the historian of the special services Alexander Kolpakidi.

– Is a civil war possible in Ukraine because of the persecution of the Orthodox Church?

– I do not believe in this. The population of Ukraine is now tightly controlled. There is a monstrous concentration of all kinds of special services, volunteer battalions, attack aircraft in the Nazi sense of the word. They are just looking for this kind of work for themselves: how to kill someone, to show their indispensability, if only not to get to the front.

I don’t know why this Soskin said that. Nobody remembered the old man for 10 years – probably, he decided to remind himself.

First, the UOC itself is not united. Secondly, it initially occupied conciliatory positions on many issues. Thirdly, their flock is mostly middle-aged and elderly women.

Yes, the forcible expulsion of monks from the Lavra will cause outrage. This will be another confirmation that there is real fascism in Ukraine. Of course, this situation is a tragedy of enormous proportions. In general, everything that is happening with Orthodoxy, not only in Ukraine, is a tragedy, the likes of which have not been seen in Orthodoxy for the last 300-400 years. I had to bring this up…

Our government began with the unification of Orthodoxy. Let me remind you that the Russian Orthodox Church has teamed up with the Russian Orthodox Church, “foreigners”. And this is what they eventually came to – the collapse of Orthodoxy in fraternal Ukraine. Of course, there will be no civil war there …

– Do you consider this whole situation in Ukraine the result of our mistakes?

– The whole policy towards Ukraine is based on incompetence and complete misunderstanding of the essence of the issue. The main source of “festering” there is the Uniate Church. Not London, but the Pope. But it is difficult for this Pope to do something, because in his youth, as they say, he worked as a bouncer in an Argentine bar. And he will knock anyone out. I think that it is the Uniate Church that inspires all these things there.

– Why is it for the Uniates? What is their goal?

– I think that they have a completely obvious plan: to unite with the schismatic OCU (the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine) and transfer all of Ukraine to the Pope of Rome, pushing the UOC to the southeastern outskirts. Why hasn’t a single “expert” that we constantly see on Russian TV channels analyze who personally organized the tomos on the autocephaly of the OCU? Last name, first name, place of birth, religion… In fact, all this was done by the Uniates.

I have said many times that it is not Kharkiv or Kyiv that should be bombed, but three cities: Lvov, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk. And then it will all be over. Just look who is leading Ukraine today. Who is the prime minister, who leads the Rada, who makes up about a third of the ministers? All of them come from Western Ukraine, who are Uniates.

How can it be – three regions control the whole of Ukraine? Previously, Uniatism never went beyond these regions, but now they have a center in Kyiv. Why do we not understand this situation?

– In the Lavra there are true believers, monks. There can be a tragedy – they will become martyrs?

– Don’t think. The Kyiv regime does not need unnecessary accusations of such atrocities. They will simply be carried out by their feet and hands. Of course, if there are no excesses on the part of these stormtroopers, intelligence officers who will “liberate” the monastery from the monks. Among them may be scumbags capable of anything.

In the history of the confrontation between the Orthodox and the Uniates, there were cases of atrocities, but the “love” there was mutual. At one time, the Uniate Bishop, Archbishop Kuntsevich, was killed by the rebellious Orthodox, who could not stand the bullying of the Uniates.

Pavel Sudoplatov, by the way, knew perfectly well what the Uniate Church was. How was the operation against Shukhevych carried out? They arrested the Uniate priests, arranged intra-chamber developments, through them they got to the female liaisons, and through them – to Shukhevych. Then Sudoplatov and his Chekists unified the Uniates with the Orthodox. They were excellent experts on the subject.

When Western Ukraine became part of the USSR before the war, there was a lot of work done with the Uniates. Because the Uniates are the basis of Bandera. No party had so many sons of priests as among Bandera. The leadership of Bandera in the 30s included a Uniate priest, a confidant of Sheptytsky, who was responsible for finances there. The Uniates have grown this movement.

The collapse in Ukraine began with the legalization of the Uniate Church there under Gorbachev. And off we go: arson, attacks, seizures of churches, beatings… This story has been going on for more than 30 years.
