Thucydides, a fragment of whose book (reconstruction of Pericles’ speech) is crammed in all Western schools as a manifesto, the alpha-omega of democracy: Thucydides … Throwing personality, an individual is opposed by a long tradition: remember (do not disgrace) your father, your family. The Greeks are reproached (quite at the level of BLM) for slavery, obscuring another fact: from the archaic era, the entire development of the policy is connected with the subordination of the individual. Do not get ahead of the “liberal locomotive”, trying to selflessly joyfully look into the eyes of its drivers. The failure of liberal multiculturalism was recognized by Chancellor Merkel at the CDU congress (Potsdam, 2010) even before the waves of migrants of the Arab Spring. And Russia, the holder of a certain “know-how” in this area, was looked at even earlier.

Hatred for those who did it differently. The godfathers of Al-Qaeda (Brzezinski) and ISIS (McCain) would be asked about inciting Islam against Russia, but now they most likely carry their reports to the authorities of hell. And most importantly – the very same, millennial Eurasian respect for Fate, ancestors, and therefore, for the faith of their ancestors.

Supranational empathy: respect for one’s elders turns into respect for strangers. I happen to observe it on a purely everyday level, for a funny reason: the hair of my beard is gray. Working outside the city, sometimes I don’t shave for a month, and in the subway young people of southern, eastern, Caucasian appearance remind me of this: they give way.

And in the summer cottages of the Moscow region, if strangers greet you, it means “they”. Someone grumbles: “They are looking for a job…” Without bothering to remember: this is our own custom, which was in force on the territory of all Russian villages not so long ago.
