Named new technologies in the fight against violations on the exam

The USE-OGE period is the most important and exciting stage in the life of every graduate. On May 26, the main stage of the Unified State Examination for eleventh graders starts, on May 24, the Unified State Examination for ninth graders began. The heads of the supervisory agency and the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements spoke about the features of the examination campaign, popular subjects, as well as the conduct of state exams in new regions of Russia and border areas.

Features of state certification this year are due to the fact that the exams are organized in four new subjects of the Russian Federation. There are nuances in the conduct of the exam in the border areas.

The department plans to complete work by mid-June with the issuance of temporary licenses and temporary accreditations to all educational institutions in the new territories so that schools, universities and colleges can issue Russian graduation documents.

Graduates who live and study in the border areas were also given the right to either take the Unified State Examination or undergo intermediate certification in an educational organization.

On May 26, more than 700,000 graduates, including 620,000 eleventh-graders of the current year, will go to write the exam. 6,000 examination points have been organized (at the same time, there are points both at home and in medical institutions). GIA in the form of the OGE is taken by more than 1.5 million ninth graders.

The heads of the supervisory department once again debunked the myths that have been circulating around the Unified State Examination for many years, and urged not to use the “old tricks”. For example, it is not true that exam materials are easier in some subjects than in others.

“KIM will be delivered to all examination points via the Internet, respectively, they will be encrypted with GOST means, this will avoid any leakage, opening, etc.,” said Igor Kruglinsky, deputy head of Rosobrnadzor. Traditionally, information resources appear that offer to buy KIM, answers, texts of essays or interviews (if we talk about grade 9). “We declare that there are no leaks and there have not been, because the measuring materials appear only in fact in the classroom in front of the graduates. Prior to this, there is virtually no KIM in the form in which they exist. Therefore, there is nowhere for them to “leak” in this design, ”added Kruglinsky.

“It’s a shame when graduates spend time searching the Internet for some options for the Unified State Examination, they don’t and can’t be,” Oksana Reshetnikova, director of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements, confirmed. Despite the fact that there are many resources, including open banks of assignments and the Unified State Exam, and the Unified State Examination, from which KIM is drawn for the main Unified State Examination.

The department believes that the USE is unlikely to face fundamental changes in connection with the transition to a sovereign national education system.

“There will be no drastic changes in the KIM USE system, all changes are taking place very smoothly,” Oksana Reshetnikova added. “They continue in the same direction as they did before. As we moved away from the measurement of knowledge and facts to the verification of opinions, so we will do it more actively. We also, for example, continue to build up the potential for detailed answers… Changes will be noticeable only to specialists, teachers, so that they can reorient the possibilities of their educational process.”

If you look at the USE subjects that graduates chose this year, the undisputed leader is the Russian language (Russian and mathematics are compulsory subjects). And the second exam in terms of the frequency of choice from additional after social science (45.8%) is informatics (20.1%). In the 9th grade at the OGE, after two compulsory subjects, the Russian language and mathematics, most ninth-graders also chose social science (56.2%), followed by geography (43.4%). Informatics is in third place at the OGE (40.6%).

Separately, the latest means of combating violations during exams were listed. 100% of points are equipped with video surveillance systems, including in new regions. Technologies for the prevention of violations are being developed, for example, means of suppressing cellular signals (“jammers”) are used. In addition, AI (artificial intelligence) analyzes the children’s handwriting so that there are no substitutions. And the neural network helps to analyze video images not only in online format, but also in recording. Observers are always present at the examination points.
