Named countries that may participate in the investigation of sabotage at the Nord Stream

Russia, Germany, Denmark and Sweden are the countries that could become participants in the investigation of sabotage committed against the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, said Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN.
Speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council, convened on the initiative of Moscow, Nebenzya justified his position by the fact that Russia is the owner of the gas pipeline, and Germany is the main recipient of gas from these pipelines. According to him, the participation of Denmark and Sweden is due to the fact that it was in their territorial waters that the incident took place.
According to him, he does not believe that the UN will take part in the proceedings. He also noted that the Russian authorities will definitely identify all those involved in the sabotage against the Nord Stream, and ordinary terrorists are not capable of an action of such complexity and scale.
On September 26, there was a leak on one of the lines of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark. The operating company Nord Stream AG reported a pressure drop on both lines of Nord Stream. Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov, speaking via video link at a meeting of the UN Security Council, said that the company is currently looking for options to restore the Nord Stream system, but the time frame for restoring the system to work cannot be estimated at the moment.
