There will be no autumn conscription in Ukraine. But soldiers who have served urgent service will not be able to demobilize either. The corresponding decree was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This is the second such document since the beginning of 2022. In the spring, the soldiers who were doing military service also had to stay in units. And the call was cancelled.

The terms of demobilization and conscription earlier in Ukraine and in Russia coincided. This is April-June and October-December. Until February of this year, soldiers in the Ukrainian army served in the military for only 18 months. For those who had a higher education, this period was even less – 12 months.

Note that after the collapse of the USSR in Ukraine, the reform of the armed forces was carried out. And by January 1, 2014, the army in the country began to consist only of contract soldiers. However, already on May 1 of the same year, the conscription for military service was restored.
