A false alarm occurred on the Russian segment of the ISS

The emergency fire alarm went off on the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS). The crew and Mission Control consider the alarm to be false.
“We have a fire alarm going off… visually nothing is visible, most likely a false alarm. <...> No smell, no smoke … the readings are normal, ”said cosmonaut Sergei Prokopiev during negotiations with ground specialists (quoted from “Interfax”).
The mission control center instructed the astronauts to turn off the malfunctioning sensor.
The life of the ISS, agreed by the participating countries, ends in 2024. The new head of Roskosmos Yuri Borisov earlier announced Russia’s withdrawal from the ISS project after 2024. At the same time, a decision can be made in 2025, and in 2028, and in 2030, explained at Roscosmos.
