MWM: NATO can change its position on weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the destruction of Challenger 2

NATO member states may reconsider their position on sending weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the destruction of the British Challenger 2 tank, which was another victory for Russia in a special operation in Ukraine. This is stated in the material of the American edition of Military Watch Magazine.
The journalists point out that “the loss of a tank, which no one has yet managed to inflict serious damage on until now, is likely to affect the course of the discussion.”
This should particularly alarm the United States, which plans to send American Abrams tanks to Kyiv. However, they are “less tenacious” than the British Challenger destroyed by the Russian military.
On September 5, it became known that the Russian military for the first time destroyed a British Challenger 2 tank in the special operation zone, which was sent to the Ukrainian army by Western sponsors. The destroyed Challgenger-2 tank was part of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which remained in reserve until August.
Military observer Alexei Sukonkin noted that the armor of the British tank is approximately at the level of the Leopard 2, all Russian anti-tank weapons capable of hitting both the first and second types of combat vehicles.
