Musk called supporters of continued military assistance to Kyiv fools

American businessman Elon Musk agreed with the opinion that the continued allocation of military assistance to Ukraine does not contribute to the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
Entrepreneur David Sachs on his page in X stated that last year the United States allocated over $100 billion to Ukraine, justifying this with an upcoming counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The businessman pointed out the lack of military successes of Ukraine and Russia’s acquisition of new territories.
“Now Washington claims that another $60 billion will allow us to finish what we started. You are a fool if you believe this,” he said. In response, Musk said: “There are a lot of fools out there.”
US President Joe Biden on October 20 asked Congress to allocate additional funding for military assistance to Ukraine and Israel. The total amount of the request is $105.85 billion, of which $61.4 billion is intended for Kyiv, and $14.3 billion for Tel Aviv. $9.15 billion will be allocated to overcome the humanitarian crisis in conflict zones. The package also includes $13.6 billion to protect the US southern border and combat illegal migration from Latin America and the Caribbean.
Since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Washington, according to the Pentagon, has allocated a total of more than $43 billion to Kyiv for military assistance. American authorities announced the previous package at the end of July. Then the amount of funding amounted to $400 million. Russia opposes funding for the Ukrainian military.
