Muscovites will be able to pay less for garbage collection

Residents of apartment buildings will be able to recalculate the fee for the removal of household waste during their absence. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the resolution, if a person does not live in an apartment for more than 5 calendar days, he can write an application to the management company for recalculation of the fee for the garbage collection service. The application will need to be accompanied by documents confirming that the tenant did not use the service. These can be tour packages, an extract from the hospital, a travel certificate, and the like.
According to the amendments made to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation “On the Provision of Public Services to Owners and Users of Premises in Apartment Buildings and Residential Buildings”, recalculation can also be made in the case when the tariffs for this service are calculated based on the number of registered in the apartment, and in the case if the calculation of the cost of the service takes into account the area of \u200b\u200bresidential premises.
The changes will come into effect on March 1, 2023.
