Spring in Moscow will be extremely unstable; in March there may be frosts down to minus 15 degrees at night. This was reported on Wednesday, February 21, at the Phobos weather center.

Leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, Evgeniy Tishkovets, warned that in March and April, several waves of significant Arctic invasions are expected in the capital, which “over and over again will nullify the attempts of spring to march victoriously across the Russian Plain.”

Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, Roman Vilfand, said that the arrival of climate spring in Moscow should be expected around March 20-25, and in general March will be a “winter month”. He explained that in the absence of snow, the sun warms up the earth’s surface well, and this heat is transferred to the air. With high snowdrifts, such heat transfer will occur more slowly due to the high reflectivity of the snow.

In particular, in the Volgograd region, March will begin with rain, cloudy weather and sub-zero temperatures. According to forecasts, March in Volgograd will not be the sunniest month. Cloudy weather and precipitation will last almost the entire 30 days.
