The chief specialist of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Marina Makarova, said that a sharp warming and freezing rain would come to Moscow.
According to Makarova, frosty days are replaced by confident warming. In the morning the temperature in the capital will rise to minus seven to nine degrees, and during the day the air temperature will rise.
So, in the evening in Moscow it will warm up to zero degrees. Makarova warned that weather changes would be accompanied by sleet and black ice.
Elena Volosyuk, a senior official at the Phobos weather center, also confirmed Makarova’s forecast and added that freezing rain was likely to hit the capital on December 21.
The hydrometeorological center of Russia warns Muscovites about the “yellow” level of weather danger from 18:00 on December 21 until the next day due to black ice. The same warning is valid in the Moscow region.
