A resident of Moscow said that he received a summons from the district police officer through the WhatsApp messenger. The 35-year-old private, who has no military specialty and served his military service in 2008, said that he received the summons in electronic form on September 23.
“The district police officer sent me a summons in electronic form – via WhatsApp. I was away in another city, so I said that I could come on Monday. In theory, this is not possible, ”a Muscovite shared the details at the military registration and enlistment office of the Tverskoy district of the capital. At home, a resident of Moscow is waiting for his wife and two minor children.
On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a televised address to the Russians, as well as residents of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. In it, the Russian leader announced the beginning of a partial mobilization in the country. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 300,000 reservists will be called up.
