Murmansk Region Day: guests of the Russia exhibition will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of the Arctic

Part of the capital’s VDNKh will turn into the harsh and beautiful Arctic. The Day of the Murmansk Region will be held at the exhibition-forum “Russia” on Friday, December 22. Guests of the exhibition will be able to learn about the cuisine of the peoples of the North, try on unusual professions and learn about the tourism potential of the region.

The solemn event will be opened by the head of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis, he will give a start to all activities. As part of the business program, a session is planned at which they will talk about the region’s contribution to the economy, as well as a presentation of regional development projects for future investors.

Visitors will be able to participate in prepared activities. They will be treated to concerts by the Red Banner Northern Fleet ensemble and the “Solo of the Kola North” program. Hungry exotic lovers will be taught how to cook cloudberry jelly, make dumplings with venison and prepare cod salad. Needlewomen will be able to attend the master class “Sami embroidery with tin thread” and “Pomeranian roe”. In addition, from lunchtime until the evening, forum participants will be treated to the Northern Character film festival, where they will be able to see the film Bullfinch and the documentary Arctic Jazz.
