Residents of the Murmansk region complained to Governor Andrey Chibis about the lack of anesthesia in dental clinics.

“Would you like to have your teeth treated in Severomorsk? Why don’t they bring painkillers there? Nothing but lidocaine. This is the first time I’ve encountered live drilling. This is horror, ”the head of the region wrote on social networks.

Under the post of governor of the Murmansk region, a woman complained that a good anesthetic was not delivered to the state dental clinic of the military town of Severomorsk, and not everyone takes cheap lidocaine. “You can’t bring your own painkillers. When asked why they don’t bring the normal anesthetic ultracain, they answer: it is expensive, they don’t want to buy it, ”the woman wrote. – Doctors can’t work if anesthesia doesn’t take the patient. Elementary things are missing. Shame on the country.”

Further, the woman described her situation: her husband was mobilized, two children and dogs are at home, there is no time to seek the truth and run around the authorities, which is why she turned to the governor through social networks.

– I was injected with lidocaine, half my face was numb, and I felt a tooth. Although my friend was fine. Apparently, I have no sensitivity to this anesthetic. It’s an old, cheap drug. As a result, I refused to continue treatment. I was not offered an alternative. The doctors said that even with money they could not help me, because Murmansk did not buy anything for them. Dentists themselves are howling because it is impossible to work.

Do patients still go there?

– Of course, they go, there are a lot of people. There is no other way out. Not everyone has money for private clinics. I myself live in a closed military garrison 30 km from Severomorsk, we have nothing at all there, only an outpatient clinic.

– Do the military also receive treatment in this clinic?

— No, they are served by their own doctors. Only civilians go to that clinic. It’s a shame, because the doctors work there are excellent, but they are not provided with drugs.

Other residents of Severomorsk confirmed the words of the interlocutor.

– They put a seal, pricked lidocaine, it was very painful. The dentist said that there was only such an anesthetic left, he would have to be patient, ”said one of the residents of the military camp.

– Lidocaine does not take me at all, I had to look for a paid clinic. Previously, ultracaine was injected, it was normal. But now, because of the sanctions, the situation with anesthetics is deplorable,” says another man.

The dentist of the Murmansk clinic did not deny the problem: “I heard about these complaints. In our private clinic with anesthesia, everything is fine. We found where to buy a normal drug. Yes, it turns out much more expensive than bought before. But there are no other options. It is unlikely that state clinics will be allocated funds for the purchase of a good-quality medicine.”
