Electricity was cut off in 13 districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region due to freezing rain on Sunday, December 11. As follows from the message of Rosseti Center and Volga Region, cited by the agency, there is no electricity in Vachsky, Sergachsky, Sechenovsky, Pavlovsky, Dalnekonstantinovsky, Bogorodsky, Perevozsky, Kstovsky, Arzamassky, Lyskovsky, Vorotynsky, Borsky and Bolshemurashkinsky districts. In a company announcement to Telegram it is said that there is no electricity in several areas, 86 reserve sources with a total capacity of 8 MW are used to supply electricity to residents.
Experts are working to restore power supply, the service added. Local residents can get information about power outages at mobile points. It is noted that “in some settlements of the region, mobile points for working with residents have been deployed, where everyone can leave their applications on electricity supply issues.” From December 2 to December 10, 2022, these points received about 300 appeals.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Nizhny Novgorod region reported that on December 11, it would rain with snow during the day in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
