Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that “disease X” is a hypothetical threat, but the Russian healthcare system of the Russian Federation is ready for it. In his opinion, one should always be prepared for more serious outbreaks of disease.
“The healthcare system has learned to adapt quickly. A number of programs being implemented today, which make it possible, among other things, to strengthen the diagnostic base, form the rapid development of test systems, and monitor morbidity, indicate that there are opportunities,” said Mr. Murashko “RIA News”.
The discussion around the hypothetical “disease X” began after the question decided to discuss in mid-January as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
