Statements from Ukraine that the Russian authorities restrict refugees from this country in their right to travel to other countries are a lie, said Tatyana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights under the President of the Russian Federation.
In a commentary to RIA Novosti, she noted that Russia is doing everything possible so that those who wish to use the humanitarian corridor can move to safe places.
“I am fighting such a lie that in Russia they are allegedly forcing people to leave (from Ukraine) – this is a lie,” she said.
According to her, Ukrainian refugees who are in Russia and who want to leave for another country where they are safe and comfortable can do it and are already doing it.
Moskalkova said that she personally helped refugees move to other states, and this information will be confirmed even by “specific officials of Ukraine.” According to her, there were cases when Ukrainian refugees wanted to move from the Russian temporary detention center to Poland or Canada, and they received the necessary assistance.
