Athletes from the Moscow region won 5 medals at the international tournament “St. Petersburg Governor’s Cup among juniors and juniors.” This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the Moscow Region.
Athletes from the Moscow region won gold, silver and three bronze awards. Ivan Yurtaev became the winner of the competition. The judoka defeated an opponent from the Chechen Republic in the weight category up to 55 kg. Evelina Bosiek was awarded the silver award, defeating an athlete from the Ryazan region. Bronze awards were won by young residents of the Moscow region Sergey Li, Daniyal Idarmachev, and Timur Aliev.
The international tournament was held in St. Petersburg from March 21 to 25. More than 800 athletes from 57 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition. In addition, representatives from Belarus, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan came to the tournament.
