Over the past three years, the capital company NPP Neftekhimiya has modernized production and seriously increased the pace of development. The details were provided by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“One of the companies was able to increase productivity by 1.5 times since 2020. Its capacity allows it to produce 150 thousand tons of polypropylene annually. Over 28 years of operation, the plant managed to produce over 2.8 million tons of polymer,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, noting that today there are about 260 chemical production facilities in Moscow with a staff of more than 25 thousand employees.
The company’s production capacity is 150 thousand tons of products per year. Propylene is used to produce plastic packaging, containers, pipes, medical equipment, pallets, auto parts and much more. The material is highly in demand due to its versatility of use. “Today the Moscow Polypropylene Plant offers the market over 50 brands of products. In 2023, at the request of consumers, we released a trial brand that will be used in the food industry. Our customers have already carried out successful tests – the new product has shown itself to work well,” said the company’s general director Roman Zhaluk.
It is noted that dynamic production growth was achieved thanks to technical re-equipment projects, partial equipment renewal and optimization of a number of technical processes.
