Journalist and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak announced plans to sue the NTV channel for libel and protection of honor and dignity. The basis for the lawsuit was a two-part investigative film about her.
“In short, I sat for a while, looked at it and decided that I would file a lawsuit against NTV – a lawsuit for libel and protection of honor and dignity, as well as for the theft of my materials from YouTube and social networks,” Ksenia Sobchak wrote in Telegram channel “Bloody Lady”
According to Ksenia Sobchak, all the “investigative” information about her homes and movements was taken from her own social networks, but “to the accompaniment of alarming music and with a signature NTV presentation. She also emphasized that most of the film “is a re-chewing of a thousand times-chewed personal life from 20 years ago.”
On February 10, NTV aired a half-hour story “Sobchak. Personal” in the program “Emergency. Investigations.” The next day, February 11, NTV published a 45-minute film “Secrets of the Bloody Lady: What Israeli Citizen Ksenia Sobchak is Hiding.”
