“The club has received a RFU-1 license to play in the RPL,” the Rodina press service said.
FC Rodina was established in 2015 on the basis of the academy of the same name. The owner of the club is businessman Sergey Lomakin. The First League is the second most important division of professional football in Russia.
Rodina is fifth in the First League standings with 46 points. The teams that took third and fourth places in the First League will meet in play-offs for the right to play in the top division of the Russian championship.
