Moscow City Court upholds commercial director of Ksenia Sobchak Kirill Sukhanov

The Moscow City Court dismissed an appeal against the arrest of Kirill Sukhanov, commercial director of journalist Ksenia Sobchak. He was left under arrest in the case of extortion of 11 million rubles from the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov. As reported TASS referring to a correspondent in the courtroom, the defense of Kirill Sukhanov asked to be released on bail of 15 million rubles.
On October 26, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow sent Kirill Sukhanov to a pre-trial detention center until December 24. He is suspected of extorting 11 million rubles. from Sergey Chemezov for deleting posts in the Telegram channel “Extinguish the Light”. Ex-editor-in-chief Tatler Arian Kuzmin (Romanovsky) and Tamerlan Bugaev are also involved in the case, they are also in jail. They face up to 15 years in prison.
Their lawyers declaredthat the defendants worked in the Telegram channel “Extinguish the Light” on the instructions of Ksenia Sobchak. Immediately after the initiation of a criminal case on extortion, Mrs. Sobchak left for Lithuania on an Israeli passport, but later returned to Russia. Before Mr. Chemezov, she apologized.
