Citizens discover biomass under damaged wallpaper
A resident of one of the five-story buildings on Bobruisk Street encountered an amazing phenomenon – he found mushrooms under the wallpaper in one of the rooms.
As the neighbor of the mushroom picker told MK, his 57-year-old friend lives on the fifth, top floor with his wife and mother. Every rain and snowmelt is accompanied by leaks, the apartment is filled with basins. Once the ceiling leaked over the chandelier, there was a short circuit. The walls are covered with mold, and fighting it with a special composition does not help. But the appearance of mushrooms surprised many who had seen the townspeople. Small mushrooms of an unknown species hatched among the mold under the torn off wallpaper.
– Apparently, the pigeon droppings that leaked from the roof became a nutrient medium, – suggests a friend of the city dweller. – It’s good that at least they don’t grow on the floor, only on the walls. The long-swollen parquet floors are covered with linoleum, and he protected them from the ubiquitous vegetation.
