More than half of Russians support the ban on Anglicisms on signs and product names

To the State Duma introduced a bill stipulating that signs, names of products, areas and residential complexes must be written in Russian. As shown survey Superjob.ru, this initiative is supported by 53% of respondents. They believe that we must protect the Russian language and that in our country everything should be clear to us. A quarter of respondents spoke out against the initiative. They noted that there is no point in changing existing names, and the funding could be used for more necessary things than signs.
As the survey showed, the majority of supporters of the initiative are among respondents over 45 years of age (77%) and Russians who do not speak English (67%).
