More than eighty teams from the region will meet on volleyball courts

The Tyumen region club volleyball championship started as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of domestic volleyball. This year it received club status; 84 teams from different municipalities of the region will take part in the competition.
Championship participants are divided into three leagues depending on skill level. The first league will feature experienced athletes with ranks and experience of participating in major tournaments. In the second league there are amateurs, and in the third league there are beginners.
The championship will be held in several stages, the first of which – preliminary – will last until March. The games will be held in all districts of the Tyumen region. This week the playgrounds will be Tyumen, Tobolsk, Ishimsky district, village. Isetskoe.
The first league tournament among men will be named in honor of Sergei Kosminsky, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and the founder of the referee volleyball school of the Tyumen region. The first league competition among women will be dedicated to Pavel Zaitsev, the initiator of the revival of the women’s team of Tyumen masters. The games of the third league will be held in memory of Anatoly Kogan, the initiator of the creation of the Volleyball Federation Cup among amateur teams.
Let us note that the Tyumen region volleyball championship is an important event for the region’s sports community. It provides an opportunity for athletes of different ages and levels of training to demonstrate their sports skills. Such competitions contribute to the development of volleyball, the formation of new talents and the support of an active lifestyle among young people.
