More than 600 donors donated blood at the republican transfusion station in Makhachkala after the explosion at a local gas station, the press service of the Dagestan Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
“Resources of all blood components have been replenished,” they noted.

First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Viktor Fisenko said that a medical team, which included specialists from the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health and the Moscow Department of Health, examined all the victims who were in local medical institutions.
There, according to him, now there are more than 60 people, of which 11 are in serious condition.
Fisenko also said that the doctors were delivered to Dagestan early in the morning by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He added that the victims, whose condition is assessed as serious, can be transported to the federal centers of the Russian Ministry of Health and capital hospitals. Now a decision is being made on their transportation and evacuation.
“We assume that all seriously ill patients who are in Makhachkala will be evacuated to the federal centers of the Russian Ministry of Health and to medical institutions in the city of Moscow,” Fisenko said.
