More than 400 athletes of Kabardino-Balkaria became winners and prize-winners in 140 sporting events at the international and all-Russian levels in 2023, the press service of the republican government reports.
The share of citizens living in the region systematically involved in physical education and sports is 54.6%.
Today in the republic more than 27 thousand people are involved in 38 sports in 47 sports schools, the sports training center for national teams of the KBR and the professional football club “Spartak-Nalchik”.
For children with disabilities in the region there is a Sports and Adaptive School of the Ministry of Sports of the KBR. Work is carried out in three sports: sports for the deaf, sports for people with disabilities and sports for the blind.
It was previously reported that The Kabardino-Balkaria team won the All-Russian taekwondo competition.
