The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has published a list of 317 athletes, coaches and sports personnel who, in the opinion of the department, have overstayed their permitted stay abroad and, accordingly, are recognized as “evaders” from mobilization. The list was published by Interfax-Ukraine.

“In 2022-2024, the Ministry of Sports sent 4,760 letters to the State Border Service of Ukraine about the crossing of the border by athletes, coaches and sports personnel to participate in sports competitions,” the Ukrainian sports department reported in response to the agency’s request.

Among the Ukrainian athletes on this list were famous football players Artem Dovbik (Girona, Spain), Anatoly Trubin (Benfica, Portugal), Ilya Zabarny (Bournemouth, England), Mikhail Mudryk (Chelsea, England) and Artem Gromov (AEK, Cyprus).
