The alpine skiing competitions in Dombay were dedicated to the memory of the founder and first director of the Russian State Budgetary Institution of the Secondary School for Winter Sports, Kh. A. Sheikhov, as reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Sports of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
Athletes from Karachay-Cherkessia took part in the Championship. On the first day, the discipline “Slalom” awaited them, and on the second – “Giant Slalom”.
The winners and runners-up in each discipline were awarded certificates and medals.
It was previously reported that ski resorts of Karachay-Cherkessia were visited by almost 2 million tourists in 2023.
