More than 30 boiler houses stopped in DPR due to water drain

Thirty-two boiler houses in the Donetsk People’s Republic were forced to turn off due to draining water from heating systems. It was carried out by the residents themselves. This was announced by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel.
He said that in total 40 boiler houses stopped working. Eight of them had to be stopped due to power transmission lines interrupted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and restoration work is underway. “But I would like to focus attention: 32 boiler houses were stopped due to unauthorized water withdrawal by citizens who harm themselves and others,” Pushilin said.
The heating season in the DPR started on October 14, on that day socially significant facilities were provided with heat, by October 19 the pipes were warmer in residential buildings. According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the DPR, now more than 72% of residential buildings and over 60% of kindergartens and schools are heated.
