The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that more than 3.5 thousand children were evacuated from his region. Yesterday, 300 children arrived in the Lipetsk region, and 250 in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
“Today, more than 3.5 thousand of our children have arrived and settled in other regions… I am sure that our children will see a lot of new things, meet a lot of friends and these relationships will remain with them for life,” the governor wrote in Telegram channel.
The day before, Director of the Department of Civil Defense and Population Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Oleg Manuylo saidthat at least 3 thousand children were evacuated from the border area amid shelling. Belgorod region authorities planned evacuate more than 9 thousand children.
From the most shelled Belgorod border area – Grayvoronsky district – left 60% of the residents, or 7 thousand people, of which 5,457 left for other areas of the Belgorod region, 905 went to other regions, 638 moved to temporary accommodation centers.
