More than 250 thousand people remain without electricity in the Rostov region, LPR and DPR

Ministry of Energy reportedthat more than 250 thousand people are still without electricity in the Rostov region, Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics. Energy workers continue to restore the power supply disrupted due to bad weather, the department said in a statement.

As of 6:00 Moscow time, 790 consumers were de-energized in the Rostov region, 138 thousand consumers in the DPR, and 116 thousand consumers in the LPR.

On the evening of December 17, the Ministry of Energy reportedthat there was no electricity supply for 3.2 thousand people in the Rostov region, 139 thousand people in the DPR and 117 thousand people in the LPR.

Earlier, the Phobos center reported on the cyclone Vanya, which was active in the Russian regions on December 14-15. On December 16, the Ministry of Energy reported that due to worsening weather in several regions, about 679 thousand residents lost power supply, including 1.2 thousand and 1.8 thousand in the Pskov and Smolensk regions. Hydrometeorological center predicts thaw for most of Russia this week.
