More than 1600 swimmers took part in the Champions Cup series near Moscow

Last weekend in the Ruzsky District, a series of open water swims near Moscow ended. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the region. In total, more than 1,600 athletes took part in the Swimcup Champions Cup.
It is noted that the final stage of the competition was held at the Ozerninsky reservoir. More than 500 swimmers covered distances of 1,000 m, 1,852 m, 5,000 m and the longest distance of the entire series – 10,000 m.
Of the 21 starts this year, 4 stages were held on the territory of our region. The total number of participants in these starts exceeded 1600 athletes. In the Moscow region, competitions began on June 3 at Torbeevsky Lake in Sergiev Posad.
