More than 160 sporting events will be organized for northerners during the New Year holidays in Yamal

Yamal residents are offered to spend the long weekend in January – from the 1st to the 8th – in a sporty way. Thematic events will be organized in all municipalities, there will be more than 160 of them. The press service of the governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug announced this on December 29.
Both children and adults can join in the winter fun. In cities and towns there will be competitions in hockey and football in felt boots, volleyball on the snow, as well as ice skating, relay races and fun starts.
For example, in Nadym they organize a cross-country skiing master class, a sports program for children “New Year’s Trouble,” and a table tennis tournament.
A race will take place in Novy Urengoy on January 1, residents of Noyabrsk will be able to play curling, a figure skating master class will be held in Muravlenko, fun starts on ice will be held in Gubkinsky, and darts competitions will be held in the Yamal region.
Representatives of municipal administrations will publish posters of sporting events on their pages on social networks.
