Moody’s downgraded Ukraine’s rating – MK

The international rating agency Moody’s downgraded Ukraine’s rating from “Саа3” to “Са”. This is stated in a statement on the official website of the agency. Moody’s also clarified that they changed the outlook to stable from negative.
The agency noted that the downgrade was caused by the ongoing conflict in the country. At the same time, a stable outlook indicates balanced economic risks.
The last time Moody’s rating for Ukraine changed in May 2022. Then there was also a downgrade – from the level of “Caa2” to “Caa3”, and also in connection with the Russian special operation.
In 2022, the international rating agencies S&P and Fitch downgraded the short-term and long-term ratings of Ukraine in foreign currency due to the deferral of payments on external debt.
