Flightradar spoke about NATO flights over the sites of future Nord Stream explosions

Planes from NATO countries constantly examined the sites of future explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Flightradar24 website data.

It is noted that this applies primarily to US and German military aircraft, and the flights were carried out in June 2022 during the Baltops-22 exercises.

Earlier, Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Seymour Hersh said that according to him, the pipelines were mined under the guise of NATO exercises Baltops. In September, an explosion was carried out.

The RIA Novosti material says that from June 8 to June 16, reconnaissance aircraft of the German and US Air Forces, examining the area of ​​​​future explosions, descended to low altitudes and turned off transponders in almost every flight. In this regard, some parts of their flight were not recorded.

On September 26, there was a leak on one of the lines of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark. The operating company Nord Stream AG reported a pressure drop on both lines of Nord Stream. Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov, speaking via video link at a meeting of the UN Security Council, said that the company is currently looking for options to restore the Nord Stream system, but it is impossible to estimate the time frame for restoring the system to work at the moment.

Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia would definitely identify all those involved in the sabotage against the Nord Stream, and ordinary terrorists are not capable of an action of such complexity and scale. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation initiated the initiation of a case on an act of international terrorism. As Reuters reported, a few hours after the explosion on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, a US Navy P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft flew near the place of sabotage.
